7 common answersBased on v1.2.3
Is UWH SMTP Connect completely free?

Yes. All features in version 1.2.3 are free, with no plugin license or premium feature gate. Your email provider may have separate charges or account restrictions.

Does selecting Google or Microsoft connect via OAuth?

No. The provider cards fill standard SMTP settings only. Google can use an eligible App Password. Microsoft 365 may restrict or disable password-based SMTP; OAuth is not included.

Does a successful test guarantee inbox delivery?

No. A successful transport response indicates the server accepted the send request. Final inbox placement depends on DNS authentication, mail-provider policies and recipient filtering.

Can I send emails through my hosting provider?

Yes, when the provider offers compatible SMTP credentials and your WordPress hosting allows outgoing connections to the required port.

Does this work with contact forms and WooCommerce?

It affects messages sent via WordPress wp_mail(). Many form and commerce plugins use this function, but tools that bypass it may not be affected.

What information is stored in email logs?

Timestamps, transport method, recipient counts, accepted/failed result and redacted error details. Subjects, bodies and recipient email addresses are not stored.

What are the minimum requirements?

WordPress 6.2 or later and PHP 7.4 or later. OpenSSL is required for encrypted SMTP credential storage.
