Basic terms governing the informational product website and the GPL-licensed plugin download.
1. Overview
This website provides information and downloads for UWH SMTP Connect, a WordPress SMTP plugin developed by United Web Host. These website terms supplement, but do not replace, the open-source software license that accompanies the plugin.
2. Free and open-source license
UWH SMTP Connect is distributed under the GNU General Public License, version 2 or later (GPLv2+). The applicable rights to use, modify and redistribute the licensed plugin code are governed by that license. The plugin includes no paid feature gate; any third-party SMTP provider may separately charge for service.
3. Proper use
Use the plugin only on WordPress installations you are authorized to administer. You are responsible for your provider credentials, sender addresses, legal compliance with email sending regulations and your hosting environment.
4. Functionality and limitations
The plugin configures standard SMTP connections through WordPress PHPMailer. It does not supply an email mailbox, SMTP server, Google OAuth or Microsoft OAuth. Some providers block SMTP authentication or outbound ports. Provider acceptance of an email does not guarantee inbox delivery.
5. Third-party services
Google, Microsoft and other provider names or marks refer to independent companies. UWH SMTP Connect is not endorsed by or affiliated with those services. Your use of external providers is subject to their respective policies and technical restrictions.
6. Updates and compatibility
Software requirements, external service access and features may change. Test new versions on staging where appropriate and keep regular backups before modifying a production site. Avoid activating multiple SMTP plugins that attempt to control the same mail transport.
7. Disclaimer
To the extent permitted by applicable law, this free plugin is supplied “as is” without a guarantee that it will operate without interruption, work with every mail provider or achieve a particular delivery rate. The included GPL license contains additional warranty terms.
