Privacy policy
How this product website handles visitor information, and what the WordPress plugin stores locally.
1. About this policy
This policy describes the static UWH SMTP Connect product website and the associated free WordPress plugin offered by United Web Host. Contact: info@unitedwebhost.com.
2. Website use and hosting logs

Your hosting provider may nevertheless maintain technical access logs, such as IP address, request time and user agent, for service operation, troubleshooting and security.
3. Downloading the plugin
The free plugin package is available as a direct ZIP download from this website. Downloads do not require you to provide your name, email address or payment information through this static site.
4. WordPress plugin data
When installed in your WordPress site, the plugin saves SMTP connection settings in your WordPress database. Password credentials are encrypted at rest using OpenSSL with keys derived from WordPress security salts. Delivery metadata logs may include timestamps, transport type, recipient count, accepted/failed status and redacted error details. The plugin does not intentionally store email subjects, message bodies or recipient email addresses in its local logs.
5. Third-party SMTP providers
When you configure your own SMTP provider and send an email through WordPress, that provider receives the connection and message information needed to process delivery. Its own privacy policy and terms apply. Selecting the Google or Microsoft preset does not send authentication data to United Web Host and does not provide an OAuth connection.
6. External links
The website includes links to United Web Host and to Google's official App Passwords page. External websites may process your data under their own policies; opening those pages is your choice.
7. Security and retention
Website-level access logs are governed by the hosting environment. Plugin activity log retention can be configured for 7, 14, 30 or 90 days; cleanup depends on WP-Cron. Plugin settings and logs are removed on plugin deletion according to its documented uninstall behavior.
